Friends, one of the most popular American in history, confirmed that its first reunion after 11 years off the air will be broadcast on February 21, 2016.

Friends began in 1994 and ended in 2004. Fans have been waiting on reunion; a fan account on Instagram stated, “I think it’s about time that we have a reunion for this show.” However, cast members such as Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry said in interviews that whenever they would attempt, one of them was not able to make it. But now, it’s happening!

The rumor started about a month ago that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry would be attending a show dedicated to director James Burrows. A lot of casts from other classic sitcoms were planning to be there as well, including stars from The Big Bang Theory and Cheers. The rumor was confirmed later that day when former cast member Matt LeBlanc tweeted, “Should be a good time!”

Sadly, not everyone will be able to make it. Matthew Perry is currently working on a play in London entitled The End of Longing, which premiered Feb. 12, 2016. Fortunately, he will reunite with the rest in prerecorded sketches.

“I am sad that [Matthew Perry] couldn’t be there,” said Schwimmer. “It was lovely.”
