Halloween was started at the festival of Samhain in the Celtic region. It was celebrated in Britain and other parts of Europe. According to History.com, people would light bonfires and dress up in costumes. They would do this to ward off or get rid of ghosts/spirits. Some spooky things you probably didn’t know about Halloween is that black stands for death, and orange stands for autumn or fall. On Halloween if you hear footsteps behind you and you really want to look back, some people believe that those footsteps could be death himself, and if you look back it would not end so happily for you.
