Nazia Chowdhury hosted John Dickinson High School’s Kind to Kids toy drive this school year. Students, faculty, and staff donated over 30 toys, which is 12 more than last year’s total.

“I think the toy drive went great. I managed to collect the amount of toys I planned to, thanks to the help of students and teachers,” Chowdhury says.

The Kind to Kids Foundation supports Delaware children who are part of the foster care system.  According to their website, over 700 children in Delaware are eligible for their services.

Chowdhury is hopeful that the staff and students can bring in even more presents in the upcoming years. One suggestion that she gave was to “…make an event so people would be getting something back for donating a toy.”

“I am glad I got the chance to do a project like this,” Chowdhury says.
